WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is fundamentally about integration: integrating movement into a flowing whole body experience, integrating the mind and body to create clarity and purpose, and integrating the mind, body and spirit to create a life of balance.

Breathing, concentration, control, alignment, centring, co-ordination and the flow of movement are all key principles of Pilates that anyone and everyone can benefit from. 

Pilates exercises are designed to improve postural alignment and strengthen our muscles. With a strong focus on mastering effective breathing patterns to facilitate movement, Pilates focuses on both the mind as well as strengthening the body. The key benefits of Pilates include strong and stable joints, improved postural alignment, balance and reduced lower back pain, as well as helping to relieve stress and tension.

We work privately with all levels from beginners, intermediates to advanced. We also teach small or large groups at home, at events/studios or in the workplace to encourage a productive, efficient and healthy workforce.

We teach a mixture of group and private classes at the following studios: Soho House White City, The Ned, Bodyism, South Kensington Club and Fly Ldn.

Soho House White City: Thursdays 12.30pm and 6.30pm

The Ned: Mondays 1.10pm and Wednesdays 5.45pm

Bodyism: Private only

South Kensington Club: Mondays 11am

Fly Ldn: Fridays 7.30am

private classes

MAIA well co. offers private 1:1 Pilates classes in the comfort of your own home, gym or our studio in Notting Hill. Our Mat Pilates classes can be tailored to suit your requirements or personal goals.

Our private classes are ideal for anyone with limited time, new mothers, those who prefer to workout in the comfort of their own gym or for anyone looking for a more focused and targeted Pilates class.

In addition to private 1:1 classes, we also run classes for couples and small group classes (up to 4 people maximum) for a discounted price.

PILATES AT WORK

MAIA well co. offers group Pilates classes in the comfort of your own office, big or small, including co-working spaces. We offer Mat Pilates classes that can be tailored to suit your requirements or personal goals.

Pilates is an ideal form of exercise for office based workers who spend the majority of their day at the desk, as this can lead to spinal, muscular and, therefore, postural imbalances.

It is also critical for businesses to maintain a happy and healthy workforce to ensure long-term devoted employees.
